Lori Jennings

Lori Jennings launched her tech career with industry leaders like EMC and Cisco, later leading sales at a regional data consulting firm. There, she discovered a passion for recruitment, inspiring her to found Jennings ProSearch in 2008, specializing in placing high-demand senior technical to executive level talent. Lori advises mid-market companies, consulting firms, private equity, and startups to secure exceptional technical leaders. She is also deeply engaged in the tech and business community, serving on the board and as VP of Programs for the Association for Corporate Growth, on the boards of the VCU Ram Athletic Fund and VCU’s IS Advisory Board, and as Chair of rvatech's "Tech’s Most Creative City" brand platform. Recently appointed to Governor Youngkin’s AI Task Force, Lori continues to shape tech and data innovation across Virginia.

An outspoken advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the tech community, Lori was a founding and driving force behind the RVA Tech’s Women in Tech Conference and has served on RVA Tech’s board since 2013. She helped found a Data Summit conference which brought together the data ecosystem in central Virginia. In 2020, she received the RVATECH Chairman’s award for her contributions to the tech community. As a proud VCU Ram, Lori is involved in VCU’s Connect Mentoring Program advising and connecting students on tech opportunities.

She received dual BS degrees in Marketing and in Clothing and Textiles from Virginia Tech and an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University. 

In her personal time, Lori can be found cheering for her Hokies in football and Rams in basketball or playing any number of racquet sports.  And, she has never found a puzzle that she doesn’t like.
